Pray Big Prayers

September 2nd, 2008

This past Sunday at Cedarcrest we looked at Joshua 10 and were reminded of the truth that we serve a big God who can handle big prayers. What does your prayer life look like? Are you bringing your requests before God? Are you prayers wimpy and weak or are you praying prayers that only God can answer? Are you praying in such a way that only God can get the credit for what is taking place in your life?

As you begin to pray big prayers and trust God to do what only He can do in your life, I would love to hear about it. If God has moved in your life in a powerful way post it hear. If God has done a miracle in your life, let me know. I look forward to hearing what He has done in you as you step out on faith and pray big prayers that only God can answer!

God has done amazing things for me. He has never failed me, and yet, I still find myself thinking certain things are too impossible to ask for. When I was a young girl, I asked God for so many things but as I age I become more enslaved under the curse that tells me to weigh my options based on statistics.
    Throughout my life God has:
-prolonged my father’s life after a stroke
-miraculously left my father fully functioning after a stroke the doctor’s said should forever paralyze him
-given me a 100 ! on an exam I literally should have gotten a zero on. Only God could produce a 100%
-he healed my left eye so that it’s even better than my right one even though I should have been blind after an accident
-so many more things but mostly for this: saving my soul and reaching out to me before I ever knew I needed him. For daily loving me =]
